Family & Community Engagement

One of our focuses at Cypress is to build a sense of school community by promoting parent and family engagement and strengthening our communications with parents.  

Ms. Cortez is available to help Cypress parents and families access school resources such as: Parent Square, Parent Q Connect, school website, and other social media sources. 

There are many opportunities for our parents to volunteer. These events include: PBIS Celebrations, festivals, student activities, and field trips. If you are interested in volunteering, please see Ms. Cortez for more information on how to become an official volunteer. 

At Cypress, we currently have the following parent groups: English Learners Advisory Committee (ELAC), School Site Council (SSC), and Parent Teacher Association (PTA.) Cypress also sponsors English Learner and Parent Empowerment workshops, aimed specifically to help provide additional resources for parents and their students.
